For my final exam in Ad Design I chose to make this picture. It is a pencil drawing of a mother giraffe and her baby that I put onto the computer to manipulate and make abstract. I picked the word love because I thought that the giraffe mother seemed very protective over the baby and the picture shows love. My project demonstrates layout and design with the way the picture and word love is laid out on the page. The picture is diagonal and the word love fills in the large white space in the corner. I thought the picture was well balanced. My giraffe shows abstraction. I cut the picture up and rearranged them. You can almost not see what the picture is of because of it being abstract compared to the original drawing. In order to put the project together I used photo shop. All year we used the computer to put together projects. The one we learned the most was InDesign and Illustrator, but I used photo shop because it was the easiest to put together the picture (and Mrs. Randell said it could count as something we learned this year) For the fourth example of what we learned this year I did a BLOG! The blogs we did this year didn't really work to well but in the end it did because I really thought it was a good idea to put it on my blog and I might keep blogging. I really enjoyed drawing my giraffes and doing this project.

In this ad I like how the logo for the trucks is made from barbed wire which repersents them being tough.

I like how in this ad the red and black background makes the woman pop out more and catch your attention.

This logo shows colsure in a way. The T's are the the goal posts but then look like t's.

This is the logo for NASA. This logo shows the name of the company and stars just like what NASA deals with. I found this logo on the NASA website. This logo demonstrates the prinicple of continuation. The red curve continues thoughout the logo. This is a very well designed logo. I thought it was very nice to look at and you can tell it has to do with space.

This logo is a whale tail for the National Marine Sanctuaries. The lines are simple and show similarity while drawing out the tail. I saw this logo on the NMS website. This logo demonstrates similarity. The lines are all similar because they all curve and are the same color. This logo is well done and you can really tell what it is. I liked this logo because it is simple but still suits its purpose.
