For my final exam in Ad Design I chose to make this picture. It is a pencil drawing of a mother giraffe and her baby that I put onto the computer to manipulate and make abstract. I picked the word love because I thought that the giraffe mother seemed very protective over the baby and the picture shows love. My project demonstrates layout and design with the way the picture and word love is laid out on the page. The picture is diagonal and the word love fills in the large white space in the corner. I thought the picture was well balanced. My giraffe shows abstraction. I cut the picture up and rearranged them. You can almost not see what the picture is of because of it being abstract compared to the original drawing. In order to put the project together I used photo shop. All year we used the computer to put together projects. The one we learned the most was InDesign and Illustrator, but I used photo shop because it was the easiest to put together the picture (and Mrs. Randell said it could count as something we learned this year) For the fourth example of what we learned this year I did a BLOG! The blogs we did this year didn't really work to well but in the end it did because I really thought it was a good idea to put it on my blog and I might keep blogging. I really enjoyed drawing my giraffes and doing this project.
